How is Grammarly Addressing the Impact of GPT / Large Language Models?

I used to use Grammarly[1] all the time, but now I find that I never use it anymore and instead use the OpenAI Playground to correct my spelling, grammar, and readability of written content.

Does anyone know how Grammarly is responding to the threat of these large language models?

I'd be interested to hear, as I think they'd make a great case study of disruption from large language models.

Not really related. But as someone who has both pro licences for Grammarly and Pro Writing Aid, the latter outperforms by a long shot. Grammarly paid a lot more in advertising so became more synonymous in this space... But there are better solutions.

They could simply consume GPT to make their product better. They control a niche that is smaller than the broader capabilities of GPT. It might make it easier for someone to enter their space, but this isn’t a replacement for what they provide. I’ll continue to use the extensions and editor because it provides a better experience overall with streamlining capabilities.
