Does anyone still get random emails sent to their Gmail

There was a time when I used to get some random guy’s Facebook friend updates sent to my gmail. His name was nothing like mine.

Similarly, I used to get people’s travel itineraries in my gmail.

It hasn’t happened in a while but that could be because any number of reasons.

1. Did this happen to you?

2. What could be the technical reason why an email addressed to someone else would end up in my inbox?

1, Sure. The most worrying part would be to have other people's plane tickets being added into my calendar without me asking for it.

2, I'm not sure there is a technical reason, maybe just people with similar names.

I have hardly ever had this. Are you sure that those emails are real delivery errors and not phishing?
