Something specific to your field yet not the central focus of your work.
For any type of software, the team can't get all the features done first, then slap a login screen on at the end and expect the result to be secure. But it happens all the time - features, usability, and interface are first, security is an afterthought. Trying to explain that to project and product managers or management in general and get them to think about the security model as part of the requirements and incorporate it into ongoing development could take all my attention.
I’m a data engineer in Private Equity. Probably one of the hardest things in my day to day work is to know what information (datasets) is available out there. It takes time and effort To discover data sources, often talk to data vendors sales, evaluate their data quality and so on.
