Why don't schools have a subject devoted to teaching ChatGPT usage?


It would be interesting to see what sorts of assignments and exams would be given in this subject.

Because it's brand new, there are no standards, and most schools are not research institutions.

Are you kidding? If US public schools teach anything newer than 1900, there's a major freakout. Schools quit teaching cursive handwriting and people had a huge cow over that. Any modern view of history gets labeled "CRT" and the teachers and textbook writers get punished.

The much maligned common core emphasized memorizing arithmetic facts as the major math topic.
