What is your goal for 2023?

I very explicitly don't have "goals" per-se for 2023. But what I did back on like Jan 01, or Jan 02, is sit down, write up a retrospective of 2022, using some of the same techniques used in "agile" retrospectives. I listed out items for "what went well last year", "what didn't go well last year", "what to do less of this year" and "what to do more of this year". And then looking at all of that, I wrote down some broad themes and "focus areas".

I don't want to get overly specific for various reasons, but a couple of things from my "themes" list.

- Math, math, math

- AI

- Finishing things. Too many “open threads” dating back years. Got to close some of this stuff out.

Revisit old notes and take action on them. Be a bit more adventurous online, try out new services, websites, tools, no-code solutions like Zapier etc

Be more active on Twitter. I know it's a strange place to hang out on now, and my timing is probably wrong, but I want to leverage it and gain some new friends and learn a thing or two.

Stop doomscrolling. I'm a news junkie, and need to stop reading so many gloomy headlines. I want to pay attention to what interests me. I will still glance at world news just to get a feel for where we're at and what's going on, but I will not binge on news like I used to.
