Could Tesla produce an e-bike without cannibalizing its car/truck sales?

Bike-share offerings in cities like SF by companies including Lyft seem like would be the earliest big clients for e-bikes in US.

These e-bikes were from China, probably produced at volume and at low-margins. There were many articles about these falling into disuse and piling up in dump yards. So round 1 of e-bikes was a failure.

So something like this could be a very different segment from the current Tesla car/truck markets for Tesla.

Not it's not possible. Bike transportation reduces automobile demand for the main demographic that buys Teslas - urban professionals.

yes, it opens up sales to a demographic without cars, people without new car money and people also often own bikes and cars as well, so existing Tesla owners would be able to buy.
