Wearables for Sleep

I'm interested in everyone's opinions and experiences on wearables that track sleep. I've had a Xiaomi Miband 2 and an Oura Ring 2 (2nd hand so no membership). The Oura Ring 3 seemed good until I found out about the subscription. What are your thoughts?

So I started my journey with the Apple Watch and used a variety of apps, but I just didn't like the results and more often than not questioned the accuracy. There were always some discrepancies, moments where I knew I was awake but the app was saying I was asleep or vice versa. Plus, sleeping with a watch isn't the most comfortable way I'd say.

I then "upgraded" to the Oura gen3 and so far I've been very happy with it, but I'm still in the free phase of the subscription. I'm not a fan of this new model and I'm still unsure if I'll continue paying once my time is up or move on and sell the ring.

I do like the data points I'm getting, I like seeing the progress I've made to better my sleep and I like the almost real time prediction (based on things like temperature changes I can see if I'll be sick the next day). Was also very interesting to look at the data during the time I had covid.

I guess once that first bill comes in, I'll have to reevaluate how important this is to me. You know what they say, less netflix/starbucks === buy a home.
