Robotics hackathons for beginners in the US/Canada?

Hi guys, I'm a university student and a beginner in robotics. I want to learn to build robots by working on projects and competing in robotics hackathons.

Does anyone know where I can find robotics communities and hackathons in North America? Thanks!
