How to recover a corrupted RFID card?

My office entry pass was demagnetized accidentally. How could I restore it to original settings?

If the chip or antenna broke as phillipseamore suggested you would need your company to just issue you a replacement. Most companies will not make you pay for it unless you are always breaking/losing it. The cards are about $3 depending on the bulk discounts your company gets, in case anyone were to make a big deal about it.

To answer your question though, if the card was still working even a little bit, one could read and clone it with one of the card cloning devices. They can be found on Alibaba, e-bay and sometimes Amazon. One should look up the number on the card to ensure it is compatible with the cloning devices. Doing this is likely a violation of your companies security policy and would be akin to copying a physical key in the eyes of the law. Some security systems can detect or at very least log if a cloned card was used.

Likely the antenna loop in the card just broke.
