What lessons can Twitter get from news.Y Combinator.com?
I feel that HN is a good example of a healthy forum. What’s unique to it and can those lessons be generally applied to large social media platforms?
You can have a healthy forum. Or you can have a might-end-up-profitable, ad-supported forum. Pick one.
One of the big reasons HN works is the clear rules and heavy moderation.
I don’t know how to scale something like that to a global scale. A global audience have hugely different values.
They are very different, Twitter is a communication medium, while over here it is a forum. Different media for different takes to different aim.
