Do you all get spam in Gmail daily?
It's not just me? I get phishing spam for delivery services daily, I always report it but nothing changes. What's happening to Gmail? How come this has only appeared recently?
Lately spam seems to show up in my inbox for a few minutes before Gmail clears it out. The messages always include the word "confirmation" and my email "name". Problem is they arrive so frequently that my inbox notification badge always appears on. Annoying.
As far as I recall I've never had delivery service spam either in my inbox or my spam folder.
I occasionally get a spam message in my inbox, but it's perhaps once or twice a month. My spam folder collects perhaps fifty messages a month with perhaps one or two falsely identified (usually newsletters or similar where it's understandable that the content might score a bit closer to the line).
I wonder whether there's something about the messages you've approved, or alternatively if your email address is somehow on more delivery-spam oriented wishlists...? Perhaps a legit delivery service with your email had a leak?
My gmail gets less than a dozen spam messages per year. None that I can recall were for delivery services; on average less than one per year is an attempt to phish me.
I'm not subscribed to any mailing lists and get only 2 or 3 message per day on average in "primary". I get tons in "social" and "promotions", but don't even bother scanning the subject lines of most of those.
I strongly suspect there's some spam in my 9,665 unread gmail messages. Most of it is stuff I recognize, and there are on average 1-2 messages added to the "spam" folder automatically. This seems to be on track with long term trends in my particular case.
Yes, I get the same type of spam in my inbox, usually with an image attached.
I haven't gotten a spam on Gmail in ages, or at least none that get into my "primary" in box. I get a few that Gmail files under "spam", but that's it. Google has solved the email spam problem one way or another.
