What are the reasons you choose 3rd party social network client?

When it comes to social network apps for Twitter, Reddit, Mastodon, I quite enjoy the official client apps as they are features rich, have push notification and not limited by any API restriction.I've also tried many other 3rd party clients, why they bring new look and feel, they don't drastically improve the experience much than the official client.I know it's just me, what are the reasons you choose to use a 3rd social network client app?

I use only my web browser to access Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, etc. just as I do with HN.
For a start, I don't trust that the client apps aren't running all sorts of dodgy code on my phone. But more importantly, it's habit-breaking. No distracting notifications, and I browse in permanent incognito so am forced to manually log in each time.
The apps just exist to increase the addiction. Uninstall them and get your life back.
