What’s your prediction of what AI assisted coding will be like?

Currently I don't like being helped along the way as I code with things jumping and flashing on the screen as I type, and things like auto-closing of HTML tags mean I correct the editor more than it corrects me, as you need to be precise when coding, not be helped by an AI.

I can see the worry about AI taking over a coder's job, but it's a slippery slope as at some point a human will have to intervene and override decisions, just like humans intervening at self-checkout in supermarkets. Humans will always have to be in the loop at some point.

The mouse doubles as a microphone. You speak into the mouse as seen in the early 80s Star Trek movie where the characters have travelled back in time. And, the hand held microphone is used at work in the Orwellian 1984 movie involving changes to the news speak vocab. The iPhone is an other handed navigational mini digi compass to assist the microphone mouse. On screen, the before and after state is being composed by logico wiring, generative patterns for selection.

What seems more logical? I think we 'll have direct language-to-binary compilers.
