What are your 2023 predictions?


What happens next year? Mine are:

   - Ukraine claims its territory back, including Crimea. 
   - Putin dies, civil war in Russia
   - Trump gets indicted in Mar-a-lago case
   - Twitter turns into a right-wing pit and gets closed
   - New strain of Covid causes a new wave of pandemic

Likely things in 2023:

- Successful lawsuits against using artwork to train AI models without permission

- Well known, successful artists will use generated AI in their work. This includes film.

- AI models generate music and audio well, as seen with text and images earlier

- AI based film analysis that lets you walk around in 3d in film scenes will become widely available

- Twitter will shrink. Advertisers will focus elsewhere.

- SpaceX will go orbital with SpaceShip (doing 3/4 of an orbit counts).

- An astronaut from a nation other than China will visit the chinese space station

- Strains on worldwide logistics will disappear due weak demand

- At least one private moon mission will manage a successful landing

- Some climate protests go non-peaceful (children of Kali, read "Ministry for the Future")

- New nasal Covid-19 vaccines will stop people from becoming ill and spreading the disease further, ending the pandemic in the West.

Russia will end up with more land than before the war but it will be so insignificant that the war will be regarded as a failure both inside and outside Russia.

- Putin is assassinated, Russia splits into several countries, which then hold civil elections successfully,

- Trump Mar-a-lago cases are dismissed by courts,

- Twitter rises in popularity while Facebook, Amazon, and Google fall from favor. Amazon goes bankrupt after several financial scandals,

- Army releases formerly-secret flu vaccine they've held for 30 years that stops all influenzas.
