Can anyone recall what the “funny AI” was?

A year or so back the state of the art allowed you to give prompts and it would write the funniest and most ridiculous stories that tended to be either drop dead funny or would veer suddenly into disturbing violence.Is that AI still around, or has it lost its sense of humor?ChatGPT doesn't seem very funny.
