Yet, being located where I am, I struggle to find a job. Timezone is a major issue for most employers.
What would you suggest ?
17 years ago, I decided to settle in Cambodia. I have a wife and son here, relocating is out of the question. It's been harder and harder go find income sources.
Have you tried applying to places closer to home? There are billions of people within a few hours of you in either direction. You're within three hours of India, China, Japan, Australia and many other places.
For West Coast employers, you become an early riser: 6a-8a local = 3p-5p Pacific.
That should be a decent compromise that many employers would be willing to make for a highly skilled developer with a solid track record.
