Do you think a broken hiring process eventually break the company?
I'm not sure if is there any statistics on correlation between "broken hiring process" and "breakdown of revenue" of a company ?
Of course this requires specific definition of "broken".
Companies are complex systems, operating in a complex economy. It’s something of a tautology to say that a broken hiring system would be bad for the company. If the company has rapid turnover, I could imagine it single-handedly spelling doom (a summer ice cream shack as an extreme example). on the other end of the spectrum, I know somebody who is a deep, technical expert in a small but lucrative niche who has failed to find a “suitable“ junior developer for his firm over about 10 years. I imagine something about his hiring process is broken, But his company is doing just fine and can expect to for 20 more years until he retires.
I'm not sure if it would totally break a company (I don't think so) but it's opportunity cost
It is completely non-deterministic, unless you know pretty much everything about this company.
