Have we passed the Turing test? And how close are we to AGI?

even for a sophisticated user, figuring out what chatGPT is saying as human or not is really difficult, if not impossible (the current chatGPT is programmed to give itself away, but I can imagine a version that would not)

Considering the advances we're seeing on AI atm, have you reviewed your timeline for AGI? Something I didn't expect for a while now seems like will be solved in the next decade. That's my impression.

If they find a parrot who could answer to everything, I would claim it to be an intelligent being without hesitation. What do you think?

> While a parrot may be able to mimic the sounds of human speech and even answer to certain commands, this does not necessarily mean that the parrot is capable of true intelligence. Intelligence is generally defined as the ability to think, reason, and learn, and it is not clear that a parrot would be able to do these things in the same way that a human or other intelligent being could. Additionally, even if a parrot could mimic human speech, this does not necessarily mean that it understands the meaning of the words it is saying. For these reasons, I would not consider a parrot to be an intelligent being based solely on its ability to mimic human speech.
