In a moment of weakness I bought a soldering iron and this kyria kit [0] and soldered my own. I promise it sounds more crazy than it is and I've been very happy with it.

Keychron K8 (https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k8-tenkeyless-wir...) and a Ducky One 2 (https://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/One-2-Phantom-Black).

I much prefer the Ducky One 2, but the Keychron is wireless and has Mac compatibility which the Ducky doesn't have.

Both are great keyboards, though i'm kinda planning on getting a Logitech MX Mechanical to replace the Ducky for the Mac support and wireless.

It is my first some keyboard and I still love it as much as when I first got it. There was definitely a learning curve, but it was worth it.

Keychron K8 at home and work.

The build quality on my home K8 is perfect.

The work K8 was purchased several months (perhaps a year?) after the home one and the build quality is significantly less good than my home K8. The keyboard feels different (both have Gateron Browns) and the printing on the keycaps is crooked. I've also had a couple keys stop working, but banging on the keyboard seems to fix them for a while.

So, I'm not buying any more Keychrons, because I don't know what's going on over there.

I have a split mechanical ergo that is nearly identical to an ms4000 ergo

https://cloudnineergo.com/products/cloud-nine-c989m-ergonomi...

I was immediately productive on it and matched my previous typing at 70-90wpm. As opposed to my ergodox-ez which I could muster less than a third of my typing speed. I decided to not spend the extra time to master the ergodox-ez.

Dygma Raise. It's a split keyboard, staggered keys, and enough modifiers for me.

I use a Keychron tenkeyless at work, it was relatively inexpensive and came with MacOS keys (a necessity for me). I added O-rings to make it quieter for open office use.

Kinesis Advantage2, hoping to add an Advantage360 soon as well.

ZSA moonlander. Would never go back to a standard keyboard now, the ergonomics of a split are so much better
