How do you get 5G on your laptop in 2022?

Amazing to me that this isn't standard in 2022 and that mobile carriers don't advertise USB sticks with a prepaid plan.

X1 Carbon gen 10 has a built-in 5G modem option.I have one with the Fibocom 4G modem, but it's still not supported under Linux.
