Protonmail Alternative?

Hi I'm looking for a protonmail alternative, something reliable that allows linking of custom domain name. Thank you!

Fastmail.com

I have been a very happy customer for several years. I even really like their web interface.

Here are some that allow custom domains, have IMAP support and are relatively cheap too.

The list below is of the format: Provider name (Hosting Location):

1. Mailbox.org (Germany)

2. Runbox.com (Norway)

3. Mailfence (Belgium)

4. Migadu (France; company is in Switzerland)

5. Inbox.eu (Latvia)

6. Mxroute (USA)

tutanota.com btw protonmail allows you to link custom domain but you have to be a premium member. If you're looking something that will give every feature for free while keeping your data safe. Good luck with that.

Just out of interest, what’s your objection to Protonmail?

I've had good experiences with Fastmail and Apple.

If you're paying for iCloud, Apple also supports custom domains and this integrates with Apple's mail apps, allowing you to send mail as any of the hosted accounts without additional configuration.

I recommend Runbox. I've been with them for a few years now, with absolutely no complaints. Reliable, flexible, and nicely priced. And based in Europe!

I am looking for the same thing. A colleague has recommended mailbox.org

zoho.com or zoho.eu if you want your data hosted in Europe. it's cheap and has a really big feature set... note taking app, exchange sync, office suite, drive...

Another happy fastmail.com user here. Moved off of GSuite with a custom domain 3 years ago and haven't looked back.

Purelymail.com was mentioned sometimes before, and I use them for my personal email too.

Self-hosting Q: Which VPS would/have you use(d) in a country like Iceland or Sweden?

If you're not a premium member, a proton mail, how do you migrate your emails?

+1 to Fastmail

Been pretty happy with https://www.hey.com/
