Paid training by my company, what should I propose?

My manager told us in the last area meeting that he had to design the training plan for this following year, and he said that, if we had any particular interest in learning something, we could propose it. So here I am, asking for your suggestions!

For context, we mainly work with Node.js, MySQL and AWS. Our company is AWS Advanced Technology Partner, so getting AWS certs is already in the table. Some of my colleagues proposed learning about Domain-driven design / Hexagonal Architecture / Clean Architecture, which I think it's a good idea. But I wanna hear your suggestions, no matter if you propose learning oriented to specific tools or about programming concepts in general. Of course, I believe that these suggestions should be related to the things I do in my job: maybe learning Kubernetes is useful, but I don't think I could convince my manager to pay for it if we don't use Kubernetes anywhere.

Wanting to hear from you! Thanks in advance :)

Hey, I wanted to propose a mindset for thinking about what you should learn, instead of a particular skill or domain. Thinking about what you should learn to benefit your employer is nice, I'd think more about what skill you could learn that would help you most over the next ten years, for job satisfaction, income, life quality, etc. Something fun, which also makes you more valuable in the marketplace, sounds like the way to go. Anyway, having a manager that looks for feedback on stuff like this, sounds like a good problem to have. I like this article on skill-stacking, might be a frame you think is good, maybe not. https://forge.medium.com/how-to-become-the-best-in-the-world...

Find something out of town, better yet, out of county.

I had one co-worker who found training on a cruise ship. I must admit I envied her finding it. It was relevant to her job and the company paid.

Security is always valuable. OSCP training would be great. If not that then perhaps a GIAC training in a relevant course?

Some sort of driving school. Preferably at a race track. Laguna Seca isn't too far from the bay area.

4-day work week training.

i know there are at least consulting people, if not full-on firms, doing it.
