Why RAM, rechargable alkaline manganese, battery not practical, ie. simply not available in marketotherwise it's far so more useful as it is nominal 1.5V

You mean these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rechargeable_alkaline_battery ?That article says that they are good for just 20 cycles which is much less than the common NiMH rechargables.

They aren't available _anymore_ - they used to be more widespread, for instance the "Rayovac Renewal" line of rechargeable alkalines.The quoted 25-cycle life seems like a deal-breaker compared to other battery formulations.
