Currently reading The Voltage Effect by John A. List. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in why certain things scale or fail to scale.
Started 'wealth of nations' by adam smith, it's 1281 pages long??? But what ive read so far is brilliantly delivered.
About 1/3rd through "zen and art of motorcycle maintenance", it's not about motorcycles. definitely another mandatory book.
about half way through 'rich dad poor dad' I feel like I already knew this; I grew up poor.
3/4 the way through 'bring up genius' which is polgar sisters' father.
2/3 the way through 'breath' by james nestor. Extremely convincing book, made the change, never going back.
Would I recommend any or all of this stuff? Well, if you're particularly interested in cognitive science, metaphysics, and/or epistemology with an eye towards working on AGI, then yes. Otherwise, "it depends".
Metaphysics: A Contemporary Introduction[1]
Epistemology: A Contemporary Introduction[2]
The Organization of Behavior: A Neuropsychological Principle[3]

I'm half way through and it's a good read so far.
