My current employer is using SQL Server 2014 but from what I can see, there is already 2022 version available. Should I get some literature on the most recent one or starting with 2014 is okay? Is it better to start with theory first before diving into a specific DB like SQL Server?
Looking back, if you could instruct your young self how to approach this, what would you recommend?
Any literature would be appreciated! I'm already 35 and my only experience with DBs is that I can build SQL queries. Not sure if I'm trying to shoot for the moon or it's a doable task.
There's a good podcast called Seattle Data Guy with more topics. His Youtube is also useful.
