PDF viewer optimized for Apple Silicon not made by Adobe
Is there a PDF viewer app that is optimized for Apple silicon that is not Adobe Acrobat? I am attempting to search through very large PDFs (> 25k pages) and using native macOS Preview is not functional. Preview completely locks up using 100% of my M1 Max. Safari and Firefox open PDF seem to be single threaded and don't appear to be returning accurate or any search results.
I quite like PDF expert -- the search is better than preview but I haven't tried to use it with 10k+ page documents. The main attraction is that if you search for "ab c" it actually requires "a b c" in the text, unlike preview's "a" | "b" | "c"...
Maybe you should split it into multiple files.
