How do you find interns?


Hi HN Looking to provide some internship opportunities in my company in the field of data science. How would you go about finding candidates? Any service you are aware of to match companies and candidates?

Contact Data science departments. Melbourne University has one. Cardiff University does O/R and probably has heaps of candidates. The department wants to help. They need you as much as you need the interns. Royal Holloway College is ground central for O/R

Get to data science conferences which have a student paper programme. If they do poster sessions, your candidate pool is virtually hanging out their C.V. in the foyer for you to read and standing there waiting to be asked.

Pay your interns. If word leaks out you fund, you will have to sandbag the front door.

Go to job fairs at schools.
