How does Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker's app Airtime stay in business?

I came across Airtime in the app store. I had not seen it before. It is a bit like Clubhouse but with video? now maybe pivoting a bit to groupMe with video? https://www.airtime.com/

I went down a bit of a rabbit whole.

I looked it up and discovered the company Airtime media, was created Shawn Fanning & Sean Parker. They had a kickoff event with Jim Carrey, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, etc. Here is a HN thread on it: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4068895

It appears to have not done so well and they relaunched as an app in 2016.

According to Crunchbase they have raised 33.8m but last round was 2015. https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/airtime

There are 159 people listed on Linkedin. Now that doesn’t mean they have that many current employees but they clearly have some.

They have no in app purchases or ads. They have no recent funding raising.

Question is how do they stay in business? They stretching the initial money that far? Undisclosed money?

What is going on here do people think?
