HACKER Q&A

How to Talk to Experts?

Assume you work in a small team, state-of-the-art stack. Now you come across a problem where, despite a lot of knowledge, you need a second opinion. Like the right architecture. The "right" person could answer it in 15 minutes.

BUT: How do you get it?

PS: In my case it involves IPC, python and latency. Tried very hard to find right people. So if anyone is an expert here, please let me know : )

Specific technical problems best go on the repsective forum, chat or mailing list. Composite problems (you mention architecture) are harder to find people for. Maybe you should shift the problem towards decomposing the issue into a series of more focussed questions, eg. what conceptual architecture (microservices, event sourcing, batch processing?) is the best fit for your problem and then which technologies can you use to realise the conceptual architecture.
