Who would be interested in a browser extension for fast video upscaling?

Just asking, I didn't develop anything yet.

It would allows you to turn a 360p video into a 4k video on the fly for example. It would fill also the black bars in vertical content or if you have a wide display. (Probably with something like stable diffusion)

Do you have any recommendations?

What would be the ideal ux and do you guys have any idea whether this is even possible with current technology?

What amount would you be ready to pay if any?

Currently a high end GPU is required to avoid long render times.

Topaz Labs Video Enhance AI is the best in class commercial AI option. https://www.topazlabs.com/video-enhance-ai

ESRGAN 4 Video is probably the best open source option. https://colab.research.google.com/github/MSFTserver/AI-Colab...

A good list can be found here - https://pharmapsychotic.com/tools.html

That would need some kind of AI model to fill the information gaps but then GPU power is necessary. It could be complementary feature of some streaming service. It is too early with current state of laptop and TV hardware, unless you just want so sell some poor quality effect.

For me: vitamin, not a painkiller. Need to see demo first then maybe pay.
