Has Mark's Google account been reinstated yet?

Just over a month ago, the New York Times reported that a man named Mark had his Google account terminated because its AI accused him of possession of child porn. Even after police confirmed that the accusation was completely false, Google still didn't give him back his account. Now, over a month later, has he made any headway yet?

I do wish that people who defend corporations right to do anything they want would come to the defense of this practice.

I heard that terminated account data is deleted after 30 days. I'd also imagine that there would be issues in getting his Google Fi number back.

The question is not about whether they reinstated it or not. The abusive part is instead of apologizing and making up for their stupid mistake they openly stated they stand behind their decision and that it was the right thing to do. I haven't seen such a condescending attitude from any company in years.

After Google treated him that way, would he want it back, except to properly clean it out and migrate content?

My issue is that the "public" wouldn't get to say how things are done, the "government" does. The government isn't controlled by the majority because of both the method that the Federal government is set up where Montana has the same number of Senators as California, the Electoral College and gerrymandering. I have no desire to give the government more power. I can leave Google much easier than I can leave the US. Google also doesn't have a "monopoly on violence".

Is there any petition for this?

(yes I'm aware that this would be to a private company, not the govt)
