Is Google going to ban my account because they messed up?

A long time ago I had a blogger.com blog. I signed up for a custom domain for that blog. I posted family pics and etc on there, that's it.

Years later my domain for that site was expiring. Google directed me to Google Workspace to renew the domain. BUT... I DO NOT have a Google Workspace account. I did have a google domains account, but it had no connection to the domain in question. It seems like they just sent their blogger doman info over to Google Workspace to manage regardless of if anyone had an account? Maybe, I duno...

In the end I solved the issue by contacting the registrar Google used long ago and they helped me re-new the domain and the emails stopped. All good.

Now Google Workspace is no longer free apparently. I don't care because I don't have a Google Workspace account right?

But now I'm getting emails from google at my gmail address saying I need to add payment information for Workspace Business Starter subscription or ... "after which your subscription will be suspended."

If click the link to get help in the email it sends me to a page to login, that of course doesn't work and it says to sign in with the admin account but of course there isn't one because I never signed up for any of this ... and that's the end of google's "help".

So what are the odds my google account tied to this email gets locked up over all this?

I don't use my Google account for anything important. The only reason I have one is to use the Play store. I don't browse whilst signed in and receive no email whatsoever. I do this because Google can ban you on a whim, so nothing important is ever stored on my account. If you still have access to your domain, then transfer it to a suitable registrar and go elsewhere.

Don't ever rely on Google. They don't care about you.

It can happen. There's nothing you can do except contact someone who works at Google. They have access to internal support that you don't have.

Another possibility is to pay for a different G Suite plan on a new account and escalate this to their support through that.

For the record my google account appears to still be functional after the suspension of the Google Workspace account ... for now.

The only time Google cares about you is when they want to sell you their Adwords plan, otherwise they won't even speak to a regular user.
