Kanban board or advanced TODO tracker for Linux (desktop)

After endlessly storing TODOs in code and in txt files on my desktop on my debian workstation i'm looking for a better way to track and prioritize work on a project. I thought about trying kanban boards again but open to other ideas.

I am specifically looking for self contained monolithic desktop software for linux. So no tools that require hosting or web servers and no tools that run on Mac OSX or windows.

Obsidian has a decent Kanban plugin if you're comfortable working with Markdown. If not, I think Todoist has an okay board-view.

Edit: Planner also used to be quite good, but it seems to be broken on every distro I try it on, these days. Maybe worth a look still: https://github.com/alainm23/planner
