What language do you have the most fun writing in, and why?

LISP - because I feel like I'm getting to use a computer in an entirely different way than I do at work. I imagine it's how an artist would feel if their day job was painting text onto signs and at night their hobby was making Jackson Pollock inspired paintings - same tools but entirely different approach.

It's a tough choice between TypeScript and Kotlin for me. They have the right amount of type-safety vs flexibility for me, and they have very productive ecosystems that makes building stuff a breeze.

I especially love Jetpack Compose. Something about it is incredibly fun to work with.

R because in my opinion there's no better data analysis IDE than RStudio.

English.

I do write quite a bit in Spanish too, sometimes Italian and French. But usually I tend to have more fun with English. Though I do confess that I quite enjoy mixing up two of them for stupid jokes because it opens more possibilities.

In the past, I did a lot of work with Forth.
