Why are all submissions about the Apple event getting flagkilled?
This is a HN first.
Personally I just wish there would be 1 submission for the whole event. I like a lot of Apple products but even I think multiple posts for each product is a bit much. You don’t see the same kind of spamming for any other manufacturers (which I’m glad about) so I don’t see why Apple should.
I am curious about this too. I posted an item from Apple's website on the announcement of the 14 Pro and Pro Max but deleted it when it was flagged (figured if it was flagged for good reason I should pull it). I see that same story has been posted again. I just want to know what rule I broke in my posting of the item so I can avoid doing that in the future.

Not sure why you think that. With nearly any major event there is lots of people submitting duplicates, and when it gets this dense I don't blame people for flagging without comment, especially if the existing discussion is already on the front page.
(I think the worst was the Gates divorce, dozens of submissions within an hour or so, but previous Apple events were similar)
I posted a request for an extension to block apple-related submissions a while back.
It got 10 comments, a bunch of upvotes, and was also almost immediately flagged. :D
I think it’s duplicates that are being flagged.
there is one first submission regarding it.
it would probably be better to comment in that thread than have numerous submissions of the same topic on the board.
duplicate, I presume. HN has a strong preference for linking to the original source, which would be apple.com in this case.
