Ethereum and “the merge”: what could go wrong?


It looks like ETHBTC has been exponentially increasing on expectation that “the merge” will be somehow revolutionary.

Given the history of Ethereum, what could go wrong with a movement to proof of stake?

The main risks are around liquid staking derivatives and centralization to a specific centralized staking service or pool. See here:
