What companies are great for a junior SWE looking for remote jobs?

You should be looking for onsite roles as a junior SWE. You will permanently stunt your career by avoiding it.

I say this as someone working remote that believes in it fully. There are not many companies equipped to let ICs fly with no office time, and even fewer with the kind of mentorship and training through osmosis that exists in an office.

There's gitlab, but they're the exception and not the rule.
