Should Tesla make a golf cart (a.k.a. NEV)?

There is a class of light vehicle which sees widespread use in service applications in resort complexes, university campuses, and even mine sites (polaris ranger), and I guess they could do a decent job. These vehicles are not an opportunity for any automation except maybe general collision avoidance, however, and don't do super high volumes, so I would say perhaps not. It would be better if Tesla sold mini battery and drivetrain kits to manufacturers, I think.

Tesla should announce it, make some flashy videos, and start collecting deposits. Actually making and delivering seems almost superfluous at this point.
