What is your favorite retro game?

Original Nintendo: Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy 1 (favorite games ever)

Original Playstation: Diablo 1 and Resident Evil 1

Age of Empires 2

So few 'new' games even compare to the old ones. Too much hand holding, not enough 'depth' to the games.

From 2000 and before I still enjoy Doom and Quake with mods and some 16-bit emulated games sometimes. I play pretty much all the popular retro-inspired shooters too: Dusk, Amid Evil, Ion Fury, HROT, Project Warlock, etc.

Today? It's Metal Slug 5 ;)

Wow, I feel more retro than most in this post. I grew up on, and really love Omega Race!

Not sure if it counts but if it does, Morrowind hands down.
