What are the best illustrations in a technical book you've seen?


Any book, not necessarily in computing... any work with outstanding use of diagrams or illustrations to convey an idea. What illustrations impressed you most?

I liked the illustrations in the COCOMITE guidebook to professional tools, published by Trusco Nakayama in Japan. It’s online in English here:

Wow. There is a book on electrical work call (I think) Wiring Simplified, which I thought very good. Andrew Tannenbaum's book on operating systems (the one with Minix) had good illustrations, I thought.
