If you have a "do over" on your home office, what would you do with it? (Soundproofing, wiring, networking, lighting, surfaces, storage, etc)
For context, I do a lot of (virtual) corporate trainings, content creation, videos, and consulting.
Maybe one of those "elevator tables" (idk how they are called). So after working a few hours sitting, you could work while standing.
Also having ethernet cables running through the walls for a more stable connection. Also running my own homeserver with network shares and backups and so on.
Some plants. Maybe some paintings/images. Nothing that should distract me, but when i don't look into my PC i want to see more than plain walls and my setup.
Paint walls in another color.
Lighting when working late, something more "moody" and not bright and white.
And you mentioned sound proofing, i don't know how i would implement it but to hear absolute nothing from the outside "sounds" great. This would probably be one of my top priorities as I get easily distracted.
Writing all this makes me realize how bad my home office setup is and how it is only acceptable when getting lost in my PC and teleporting into my own world.
