I'm at about 620 feet above mean sea level. The ridge near my house is comfortably higher than the surrounding town, so flood risk is non-existent. It's nice to be up here. My fellow town citizens weren't so lucky in the past, many of their houses were flooded to the point where their entire basements were flooded, and they had to have part of the wallboard on the first floor replaced. There was one house that exploded after the flood, likely due to a gas meant for a pilot light that got extinguished.
As for intoxication, I've never done it. I watched other family members lives fall apart because of it. It doesn't seem to be worth it.
I'm finally out and about thanks to a new pair of glasses, after spending months waiting for the results of my retina repair, it's great to be free.
Folks here don't seem to understand the power of tools that can directly maniupulate the abstract syntax tree, and just give you your source code back as a "view", one of many. DION was a great idea, but they stopped short to worry prematurely about interoperability.
Folks here also don't seem to understand that the world is about to deglobalize, and a lot of people will die. The US will be ok, but it'll suck to be in a country that imports most of its food or energy in a few years.
