How much capital is there for the development of hydrogen fuel cell car?

Should there be less? Should there be more?

Investment research that i've seen regarding the matter basically seems to suggest that one of the biggest reasons for hydrogen fuel's continued relevance is that some companies are trying to get ahead of the lithium turbo bull market that doesn't seem to be stopping. At some point even if it is an inferior technology form an efficiency standpoint input costs might be too much.

Hydrogen fueled cars waste more energy than pure BEVs and PHEVs. I don't think they are a good idea.

Hydrogen could be a decent storage option for excess wind and solar, but there are probably more cost-effective solutions on the horizon.

I think Toyota is still shuffling money into hydrogen fuel cells.
