Movies are imagination and what better to imagine than how our intimate devices might look and behave without the pittance of modernity?

because it looks cool on film, and changes the angle that the shot can be done at while the phone still provides visual clues.

Displays in general from the future are transparent. I'd think they'd be terrible.

I'd imagine to make them seem indistinguishable from magic?
