How does Amazon SNAP/EBT eligibility work?

I was working with a friend that’s on US food stamps and he asked me to look up Indomie Mi Goreng (some sort of ramen dish I think), and the only product he could order with his state-issued card was >$10 per serving… for ramen.

I also looked up EBT eligible goat cheese a while ago for the same reason and found that the only thing that qualified was a $90 basket of assorted cheeses.

What sort of sorcery is this?

You might want to check again. I notice a lot of goat cheese options - most of which are $6 or less and eligible for purchase via SNAP/EBT.

The noodles are a bit on the high side from my perspective. One option is $10.50 for a 3oz serving (for one person). That's $3.50/ounce. Another option is $23.39 for 30 packs with each pack being 2.82 ounces. That's around 28 cents/ounce. This one seems like the better option but I'm not into noodles anyway - even if, like these, they're certified Halal.
