Best UX Design Course?


Hello! I'm looking to take a course in UX/UI design. I've seen Google's UX certificate course going around [0], and was wondering if people had any experience with it or any other similar course teaching people UX design. Any recommendations for course to take, or what might be helpful for getting into this area?

I took the Google UX course. I guess it's better than nothing to have an overview, but I found it way too linear for my liking. One of the issues I see in today UX world is this kind of checklist approach without paying any attention to the context (ironic, I know). That's why you see an epidemic of awful personas everywhere. It's also heavily oriented toward B2C products, with American users.

I suggest going to the roots of design thinking with IDEO and the Design of Everyday Things, read about good patterns at the NNGroup, the Baymard institute or Don't Make me Think. Then learn about the most effective frameworks and tools for UX right now like the double diamond, interviews, surveys, data analysis, prototyping or user testing.
