Uber Dark Patterns

Is it me or they still have their old DNA?Uber eats makes it extremely difficult to track down customer support and then tells you: "You are currently number 10+ in line." 10+? Like 15 or 10000?Same for Uber taxies, they show you a car right away when you open to book, then it can stay waiting for a driver to accept forever. Keeps the UI "dynamic" zooming in and out, trying to fake it that something is happening.These are just two examples.

I think there is little accountability for drivers. We were in France recently, and getting an uber anywhere was very tough. We would be offered to 3 or 4 drivers who would all decline, and then when you eventually get one, they often cancelled en route. Several drivers saw us with luggage and small children and either drove off or told us that they weren't going to take us. It's not an exaggeration that it would take 30-40 minutes before getting a ride every time.
