Have a web app you’re considering rewriting? Maybe it uses older tech. Maybe your devs don’t want to touch it. Maybe you’re hoping all or some of it can be salvaged. Regardless, a rewrite can be one of the most expensive and time consuming things your company will ever do. You owe it to yourself to get a second opinion.
I offer an independent, fixed price service where I assess your current solution, engage with your stakeholders, and present you with the best options going forward. This takes place over a 2-4 week period, after which you’ll be in a much better position to proceed. Or not, as the case may be.
When it comes to rewrite attempts I’ve seen it all. Before, after, during. The good, the bad and the ugly. Your system will not scare me. It will not affect me emotionally. My advice is impartial and based on pragmatic criteria, not which tech stack I want on my resume.
So send me an email - tell me why you’re thinking of re-writing, what you hope it will solve, and what you foresee going wrong. I’ll give you an initial 30 minute consultation for free, and we can decide where to go from there.

I've been an IC, tech lead, manager, and founder doing frontend/backend/ops-y stuff in data and developer tool companies for the last 10 years. Worked for a series A startup, Oracle, and smaller companies.
Spent the last year build open-source data tools for developers (github.com/multiprocessio) up to 5,000+ cumulative stars, 8,000+ downloads, ~300 monthly users, and over 10 posts on the front of HN in the last 8 months. See https://multiprocess.io/blog and https://notes.eatonphil.com.
I'm up for chatting about management and IC positions (and chatting with one group about joining as a cofounder). Just looking for something interesting and challenging. :)

I am a career changer, currently transitioning from a legal career to a data analyst role. Up until recently I was a product attorney at a large software company, advising software engineers and data scientists. I am mostly a self-taught data analyst, but I also have an undergraduate degree with majors in mathematics and economics, and more recently I obtained a professional data analyst certificate from DataCamp. Having taught myself, I'm extremely self-motivated and quick to learn new technologies and methods. I would love to discuss your data needs and hear about any open data analyst opportunities.

I'm redirecting my career path from industrial maintenance management to software development.
I've done, among other things, over 10 years of code maintenance and functions extensions in a live industrial production environments.
My current preferred tool set: Python, PostgreSQL, Django, Git, Docker, Linux. Now I prefer boring tools which allow me to concentrate on the problem at hand.
I'm open to other tools as needed.
My most recent project is Polish law change monitoring service available at https://unkot.pl. The source code https://gitlab.com/stakent/unkot
In the past I've used go (golang), cython, neural networks with feedback loops running on CPUs, genetic programming.
I've designed and implemented event driven architecture with log based source of truth for the system which is distributed, eventually consistent, can work with unreliable network.
I am a full-stack engineer who has 8+ years experience working with early-stage startups and creating web-based products from scratch. I have also worked a great deal on integrating various tools (Hubspot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GA). Besides programming, I can also do a bit of design and copy-writing. I did design on all my projects and the website listed below.

I've been in the freelance world for roughly 10 years, working as an independent contractor for boutique web agencies, early startups and other small businesses. Even game dev for indie game studios. College graduate with no formal CS training or education.I want to go from a freelance dev/webmaster type of role, to a better-paid and more formal SWE career. Collaborating with and learning from a team of engineers, to build and deploy products at larger scales.
As a freelancer, I have adequate client-facing experience, communicating directly with clients for to better understand their problems, and discussing RFPs to meet goals. On the tech side of things, I've been very much been a "code only" person. Usually working independently (sometimes alone, sometimes in a small group of developers) with feature work and closing tickets with little regard to CD/CI. I will need on-boarding to learn modern, systematic approaches to software engineering using methods involving automation, testing, and cloud services. And understanding the team dynamics of a larger company.
Not interested in contract work or high-risk ventures.

I am a lead software engineer with over 20 years of experience in many different industries. Most recently I was the first then primary engineer leading a startup to a successful exit. I am a polyglot with experience in several languages - I am an expert in a language I would like to move away from. Most recently I have been focused on TS/JS but would be interested in just about any language; with a little time I can become proficient in any language, framework or paradigm. I am especially interested in typed and/or functional languages. I am most interested in backend positions, but I am experienced in frontend and devops. I may be interested in data science positions - I have a strong SQL and relational DB background. I have a lot more written about my background and outlook in my resume.
In my current role I have a wide range of responsibilities and not much focus. I would prefer to join a well established team where I can contribute deeply and be truly productive. Looking for stability, good work life balance, and a remote first team. I'm looking for a problem worth solving that I can sink my teeth into and make a difference.

Self-taught, I've spent years trying to bootstrap software companies but I've exhausted my ramen money if you catch my drift.
My crowning project is called IVD (github.com/irischase/IVD) which is a GUI programming language and implementation; it's also: A bad way to try to make money from scratch. I really leveled up a ton in all aspects as an engineer from the project, but it's unfinished and in hiatus because after spending 3+ years on it I realized how much time doing anything interesting takes (especially alone) and that I need to pick my battles more wisely. I still want to get back to it someday though, but for now I'm seeking employment to get my ducks in a row. Other highlights are in my resume.
I'm fine with web tech, it just wasn't appropriate for the projects I got most of my experience on. Feel free to reach out if you think I could be useful! :)

Late last year my company was successfully acquired, 2.5 years after co-founding it. I am now done with the knowledge transfer and tech handoff and I am looking for my next step.My background is in startups and quant finance - my startup built and sold financial datasets to banks and hedge funds. Before that, I worked in top hedge funds and investment banks, both as a quant trader and as a developer.
I am a pragmatic engineer, focused on understanding the business first and then finding the quickest way to deliver value. This means I am flexible about the type of work that needs to be done - I have architected systems from the ground up, worked on backends, frontends, built entire data pipelines, manually labelled large amounts of data, done research, managed tech relationships with our customers, hired people and built teams, spoken to investors, written marketing pieces etc.
I am looking for a full time position, ideally one with visibility into both the tech side and the business side. I am also open to advisory or interim roles.

I have a PhD in optimization / operations research. I'm the father of four young children, so I'm looking for flexible/remote part-time work, and/or contract work. I can work between 20 and 30 hours a week (this varies depending on whether kids get sick, etc).
My specializations revolve around optimization and operations research. You can give me a real-world problem and I can translate it into a mathematical model that can be solved (often optimally) via integer programming, constraint programming, or various forms of metaheuristics. I could manage my way around new solvers and programming languages if the project required it.
I'm currently working on a daily fantasy sports (DFS) solver as a personal project. Taking as input the predictions/requirements of a user, this solver can generate optimal lineups for multi-entry tourneys. It is, as far as I am aware, the only DFS solver that can generate provably optimal sets of lineups for multi-entry DFS tourneys.
Currently running my own startup, but moving on due to missing working with people and teams.
Majority of my experience is in full-stack web development. Passionate about team dynamics, process, ways of working, coaching, mentoring. Love working with technical teams to help them work seamlessly together and achieve their potential.
I care about the role and my mission, not the job title. Here are some example for anyone doing ctrl+f. Technical Coach / Agile Coach / Scrum Master / Full-Stack Dev / Backend / Frontend / Technical Principal / Lead Dev / Team Lead / Ways of Working Enablement / XP Coach / Mentor / Engineering Manager / Capabilities / People / Continuous Improvement / Learning and Development

I’m a Fullstack Software Engineer who brings a passion for solving problems and delivering results through code! I’m constantly learning new things and getting to apply them to interesting problems. My latest work developing Sentinel, an open-source, self-hosted, platform as a service, is a great example of doing just that.
I'm really proud of leading the design of Sentinel's core architecture which provides the flexibility to be deployed in any cloud provider. This involved automating the configuration and provisioning of compute instances with Terraform and Ansible. I also played a significant role in developing Sentinel’s command line interface using the OCLIF framework and TypeScript, as well as designing a RESTful API written in Node.js, and much more!

Hi. I'm a backend software developer with a zillion years experience at a variety of enterprise behemoths. A lot of that has been fintech of one flavour or another and lately I've been working for a small cryptocurrency exchange. I have well over 20 years experience building shit-that-works in Java, often based on Spring and Hibernate. I'm a Linux guy at heart and I particularly enjoy poking at that side of things in the cloud.I'm mainly looking for some kind of very hands-on staff engineer role with a larger org, or a real chance to steer the technical and social culture at an early stage startup. A role that also gives me the opportunity to further bootstrap my pathetic novice level Rust skills would be particularly interesting.
I will only be considering remote-first roles, although I am more than happy to make occasional visits to a real office.
I will be available from the beginning of October. Please note that I won't work for gambling or gambling-adjacent businesses.

Long time full stack developer looking for interesting challenges, preferably mid-short term, part-time contracts. I'm very adept at jumping into existing code bases or launching new ideas from scratch. My two most recent positions were a six month contract at AWS making a new console and two and a half years with a new fintech startup called Philanthropi. During the pandemic I also created a walking tour app of Vancouver called VanWalks.Back End I'm familiar with all kinds of BE stacks. I have experience with php, .NET, Rails, WordPress, and SharePoint (but please, no SharePoint). VanWalks uses DynamoDB and a serverless stack from AWS.
Front End Websites have been my bread and butter for 13 years. I started making sites for my bands before the MySpace era, and never looked back. From static sites to full single page apps, if it's in the browser, I can work with it. I also have experience with SEO and Web Marketing. Most recently I've done a lot of React. VanWalks also uses React Native and Expo.
I recently have opened a music school with some partners, so I need some flexibility around that. I also want to block off time to continue work on my app. I’m hoping to find a position that will see these projects as assets, not distractions. I’ve also been doing bike tours over the summer, and will continue with that until the tourist season calms down. So I probably won’t start any contracts until late September.

Looking for a junior/entry software eng. role.
I just graduated with a BS in mechanical engineering, so I have the intuition about physical systems that comes with that. I did a big research project in the area of robot path planning that involved some hefty topics in convex optimization -- math does not scare me. I did a bunch of class projects that involved: classical control, state estimation, gaussian process regression, signal processing, & numerical methods. I really like writing clean, performant code that is capable of modeling and/or influencing complex systems. I love to read the documentation before diving into a problem. And I take joy in doing things "the right way," and always try to get better at doing that. In a previous life (for 7 years) I co-owned a legal consultancy, so I can talk to clients, do business things, talk on the phone, and be under immense stress for short periods of time -- I did courtroom things in big-money litigation. I'm not afraid to talk to customers!

Bio:
Hi everyone! I am a Computer Engineer with a graduation date of December 2022. I am looking for full time roles in the Bay Area starting in 2023 around Jan/Feb. I have six different internships/co-ops where I have gained a lot of different experiences. I am most interested in a testing/validation position that includes writing software for data tools or writing firmware. But also includes working with hardware such as debugging/testing a system or creating supplemental hardware to help automate testing.
I enjoy engineering very much and have been often noted as a quick learner. I thrive in environments that allow me to work on something new often and occasionally get my hands dirty.
I am from the Chicago-land area and have interned in California a number of times. I enjoy making pottery, hiking, and rock climbing! :)

Hey,
I’ve been the founder / CTO of a few tech startups, one exit of about > $40m in 2016. Honestly since that earn out I’ve never really landed anywhere i love. I love working with people, new tools, scaling system but really hate corporate politics. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve excelled in large companies as a senior technologist, i just don’t find it brings me a lot of joy. Maybe the right situation would be different, I’m just yet to find it.
These days people tend to label me as a founder, c or vp level exec, but I'm extremely hands on technical. I pride myself on bridging the gap between the business and the technology implementation.
I recently started a hedge fund with a friend. We raised a small GP round, produced returns north of 15% for our investors on approximately $40m of capital, but i learnt i hate the hedge fund life. It was 24 hr a day work, in a 365 day / year market. A year in i realized this wasn’t for me. I’m leaving to find something more attuned to my interest and the lifestyle i want to live.
I enjoy home renovation projects, piano and hanging with my fiancé and dog in my free time.

I'm punctual (I value everyone's time), reliable (I stick to what we agree upon), dependable (I'll be there when you expect me to), adaptable (I'm not stuck in one tech area) and accountable (no issues with ownership of things I work on) and all the other good -ables.

I'm a writer, speaker, editor, researcher, manager, and that guy who will (tactfully) tell you why your plan is bad and ask questions to help you make it better.
Co-founded OB1 in 2015, the company which built the open source, decentralized marketplace OpenBazaar. I managed the open source community and created most of the content for the project.
Wrote one of the first books about Bitcoin in 2013. Have traveled around speaking about crypto and decentralization since.
Founded and ran the technology policy program at a DC think tank for awhile.
I'm somewhat knowledgeable about technologies which focus on censorship resistance. This includes radio, a hobby of mine (I'm a licensed amateur radio operator).
I'm familiar enough with Git, Markdown, static sites, content management systems, and HTML / CSS to be able to create and maintain documentation / content for tech projects.
I can make simple bash scripts and know enough Python to automate basic tasks.
If you need someone with knowledge of cryptocurrency, decentralization, or open source to help create and manage content and / or a community, send me a message.
Also available for research projects, but only in fields which I find interesting.
Prefer a team that deems it is important to seek out other technically competent people to work with. Also prefer teams that take ownership of the stack as much as possible, in which the stack has business and technology.

I'm undergraduate student studying Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. I have > 2 years of experience working with deep learning/data science/data engineer. Currently, I'm currently working on a data analytics internship at a hedge fund this summer. For summer 2023, I'm interested in doing another software engineer/data science/data engineer/AI internship. Contact me if there is a position which I might be a good fit for and I would love talk about it.
Dear All,
My name is Héctor and I am an energetic, fast learner, and highly adaptable Data Analyst and I believe that I am the ideal candidate for this position for the following 2 reasons:
First of all, I have got the essential skills for this position. Apart from being a Bootcamp graduate in Data Analytics, where I learnt Python, Machine Learning, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel, I am currently expanding my knowledge by studying 8 hours every day. You can see some of my projects listed in my CV, featured on my Linkedin Profile or going directly to my Github.
Secondly, I have 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Project Management. A period in which I have been part of + 80 testing projects, as a Tester and as a QA Test Lead. A time as well where I learned constantly new technologies, processed and reported data to different stakeholders, contributed to increase the monthly revenue of my account by 10 times as a Project Manager, received 4 Customer Satisfaction Compliments, improved business processes, and mentored my team about those solutions.
Thank you very much for your time in assessing my profile. I would be thrilled to discuss this position in a meeting and to share any information you might need.
Have a lovely day,
Héctor.

Hi there! I'm a self-taught programmer, I've been programming using the above technologies for over 7 years (though I'm primarily a C#/.NET developer).I've developed various projects/tools over the past few years that are useful for me but I think others would find interest in as well, some of the projects I've built/worked on include:
- EditorEX, a mod for the hit VR game "Beat Saber" that enhances the newly added official 3D beatmap editor and adds some well-desired features.
- Reality, a Unreal Engine mod loader written in C# that works by hosting CLR and uses native delegates, etc.
- osu.Launcher, a program which runtime patches the rhythm game called "osu!" to let it run on unofficial servers.
You can check out all of these projects over on my GitHub, feel free to reach out over email if you're interested! :)

Need help with migrating to next.js? Looking for a React developer who would be productive from day 1?
Hi. I'm looking for full-time remote roles in a well-funded stable company (I will work in the company's core office hours. 0 issues with timezones. Been working remotely before covid)Building websites since 2016, working with React since 2018 and have 2 years of production next.js experience
Super comfortable with Next.js, React, Redux (with sagas), tailwind, material ui, styled-components, SEO schemas, AMP, MERN, scalable deployment on GCP/AWS/Vercel, incremental migration and parallel deployment (WordPress blogs, new next.js code and old code working on the same domain)
I value web performance (web vitals) and accessibility and could create high conversion dynamic pages
I'm a tech voyeur, culture investigator, and people person, with a liberal arts background. Two decades of bartending and bar-managing and running entrepreneurial endeavors up the flagpole over and over has taught me several things: 1) Market Inefficiency. Go where others don't and do what others won't. (Which led me to wondering why there aren't more posts like this in this thread?) 2) How to add value. Every bar has beer and whiskey so why should someone come spend money in your bar? Mainly because of the relationships they form there. But you always have to look at it from your potential customers' perspective and earn it. 3) The ability to tell awful jokes.
So, if you're here and you're hiring and 1 & 2 sound good/interesting/not-awful to your business, I'd love to chat. If 3 sounds good, well, I'm sorry. There's probably a local bartender near you ready to hone their craft.

Are you integrating with an ecommerce APIs and encountering lots of confusing behavior? Poor documentation? Really slow developer support? At Highside we have run into these issues many times before -- we learned the gotchas, so you don't have to.
We've integrated with Amazon's Selling Partner API (I wrote the top PHP library for it [0]), Walmart's Marketplace APIs, eBay's old Trading API and newer REST APIs, Shopify's REST and GraphQL offerings, and more.
As a two-person shop, we are fast-moving, flexible, and can easily accommodate the inevitable scope changes that come with developing multi-marketplace solutions.
(While ecommerce APIs are our specialty, they're not all we do -- we have done everything from full-stack webapps to web3 projects to real-world lighting control systems.)

A little more about me: I'm a Software Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience. I've mostly worked developing energy and energy efficiency platforms in web environments (IoT and dashboards and such): lots of microservices in PHP, Go and Python using CI/CD with Gitlab. I'm a Jack of all trades, but now I'm mostly focused in Project Management using Agile and traditional methods (not all companies like Agile...). I love backend programming, and I'm proficient in Linux and I'm very comfortable using CLIs all day.I own a software company that deals with European and Local companies, and it's mostly self-surviving at this point, which makes me want to look into other adventures.

Hey! After 4 years in technical consultancy working with enterprise scale clients, I am looking for a move away from consultancy into a role where I can take ownership of my work over a longer period of time.
I see myself primarily as a cloud-native engineer and the majority in my experience would typically fall under the DevOps/platform engineering banner. However the variety of opportunity I have had in my current role has helped me develop as a generalist and I have experience with AWS, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Go and some light web development (React & Vue 3). Veteran software engineer, that has helped shepherd many products from inception to maturity with a focus on needing to write less code to deliver better products. Gets a kick out of finishing things that other teams/people abandoned. Currently wearing the hat of a CTO looking to move to a Staff Engineering role. Has been working in production with React since late 2013, still remembers `createClass` and `mixins` and wants to tell all the whippersnappers to embrace progress and understand that the framework will forever be evolving. Loves Typescript and thinks that conditional types with `infer` are like having superpowers.
Ideally I'd like to join a team where I can help elevate IC's with tooling and mentorship whilst focusing on delivering software solutions to strategic business objectives.

I'm really a hands-on doer, but I do also love building up a little team and doing something great together. If you need someone who's as comfortable in front of client CxOs as they are buried under a few gigabytes of logs, who's as happy writing code as they are making a slide deck (ok I'm a bit happier in the code), can hire and lead, and can write and communicate well please get in touch.

My interests and passion lay mainly in backend development, but I'm always willing to give a hand to the frontend team when it's needed.
I have almost 9 years of experience in the fintech sector. My favorite projects are the ones where I had the opportunity to build the systems from scratch. My top 3 are:1. In my beginning years, part of the team in charge of reengineering an entire web banking platform for the Paraguay branch of the largest bank by market share in South America. During these 3 years, I mastered C# by translating Oracle stored procedures into REST and SOAP APIs, and later integrating these services into the web frontend project. I also came up with a quite clever idea (and implementation) of reusing PL/SQL stored procedures through HTTP wrappers that ended up being very helpful to significantly reduce development time for parts of it.
2. Led a team of mobile and backend developers to launch the first app of one of the top banks in the country, allowing users to perform operations such as account, investment and other products inquiries, credit card and service payments, wire transfers and hiring new services.
3. Led the Instant Payments Systems project. 10 finantial institutions implemented our product to integrate their core to the Central Bank system for 24/7 payments.
I'm passionate about writing clean and maintainable code, and I'm always interested in learning new technologies.
Also, got a full scholarship for a Master's degree in Data Science. Got my degree from a US uni and lived in Virginia for two years while completing the program.

I'm a software engineer with 20+ years of industry experience, have been programming for 25 and working independently for the past 15.I am mostly focused on the backend (though I have done my share of front-end/web work and it's not a problem for me), with a specialization on fintech / capital markets / derivatives technology and distributed systems.
I have worked for some of the top investment banks and trading systems vendors in Europe and Asia, handling duties ranging from architecture, design, project management, to delivery and ops.
Lately I have been successfully working with start-ups in the US (references available on request) and am interested in expanding my collaboration with this type of client globally.
I offer impartial, state-of-the-art software / solution architecture / audit services for your existing or planned systems, and can be as hands-on as you need me to be. I have a no-nonsense, less-is-more approach, have enough battle scars not to chase hypes or over-engineer, and am interested in building systems that run like clockwork long after I'm gone.
My working style is decidedly collaborative and friendly, but you can count on me to take the lead, stay on topic, present the trade-offs in clear language when a call needs to be made, and deliver on time and on budget.

I've worked on 100s of successful projects for Rockwell, Northrop Grumman, Adobe, Motorola, the DTIC, UK-NCIS, and many others. I was the sole software developer one year for 50% of the U.S. Vote and did the initial draft of one of Adobe's printer protocols. I've worked on my own Linux distro for 25 years and have patched and built 1,000s of FOSS packages in the process.
In my most recent role, discussed in the PDF, I had a patch to Linux kernel 5.17 accepted. It was a minor patch but made it possible for the project to support vanilla kernels.
I'm looking for 1099 work. At the moment I have a preference towards junior roles and/or "fill in the gaps" tasks.

Technologies:
- Python, mostly web apps using Django(api, webhooks, handling payments/subscriptios) and scraping, mostly using http web requests, but also using Selenium when needed.
- C#, I haven't used it in the last 2 years, but I can get up to speed with it pretty fast as I've used it in the past.
- Go - Beginner level, still trying to learn to use it to the fullest, mostly for web scraping as the speed and resource usage matters when you do 1000s of requests.
- Docker and docker compose for local development and production deployment.
- VueJs - used it to build a SPA and also as a replacement for jquery for small interactive pages, pretty comfortable with it.
- Linux - using it as my daily drive and of course on my servers, I know my way around the terminal.

I have 10+ years experience implementing software systems. I'm a full-stack engineer and have experience in everything from low-level network protocol design to frontend UX/UI implementation. I highly value teams that are remote-first and operate in an asynchronous working style. I'm currently based in East Asia (but happy to travel anywhere on Earth to meet you) and prefer to work non-nocturnal working hours. If the team is based in the West, that means you get me as an on-call person during U.S. night time for free :)
Latest few projects:
* I worked with the folks at Uno https://uno.app on a few different cool things on automating browser and WebView logins using custom automations, React, and browser extensions.
* "Web3" side project: https://loginwith.xyz built in PHP (nostalgia ftw!), SQLite and Dockerized into a beautiful small container setup. Given time, I'll add WebAuthn support and deemphasize web3 wallet logins. It has a pretty neat Amazon-style email magic link login that's easy to integrate into your website. Just open-sourced it on GitHub.
* Main side business: https://kvdb.io built in Go. In-progress work includes replacing the Lua scripting engine with a JavaScript engine or possibly WebAssembly or a pool of sandboxed Deno worker processes. I think the app server paradigm of the 2000s will be back with a vengeance. Running for 4+ years and I intend to keep it running forever.

Resume: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zurlRrR --
Senior full-stack dev (lean more towards devops->backend than backend->frontend, but I can still sling some React components together and reduce your JS payload size). Lately I've been loving Stimulus Reflex and playing with a lot of micropython/ESP32/IoT stuff.
I excel at figuring out how to solve problems at all levels of abstraction (including what level of abstraction you should use), getting a solution in place, and then figuring out the feedback loops to iterate on that solution. I'm the senior engineer that knows that most coding is coming to an understanding of what problem you are trying to solve. Sometimes the most impactful code is the code you don't write.
Trying to change the world, still parsing the source code. I've been programming on the web since 1995, had a first career as a social worker and policy statistician, and have worked full-time as a programmer for almost a decade now.
Especially enjoy API and system design, integrating with crappy systems, user research, and really weird bugs. Make a decent PM in a pinch, but would prefer you have great PMs.
Will give you more looks if you can tell me why what you are doing makes the world better, but you've got to really believe it in your heart.

Software engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and over ten years of experience in several technologies and programming languages. There are two fields where I mainly act: (1) DevOps; from database administration and data modelling to back-end programming or front-end design all the way to orchestrated deployment with latest tech and (2) Standalone software; involves embedded development in restrict environments, blockchain applications mostly related to Parity's Substrate and plain command-line interfaces. On the open-source side of things, I regularly contribute to several projects, helping and communicating with other developers. Take a look at the available coding portfolio in my GitHub profile at https://github.com/c410-f3r where most public collaborations in the last five years were more focused on the Rust Programming Language ecosystem.
Over 40 certified courses have been completed and nine professional certifications that covers a wide range of areas were obtained from different organizations, e.g., Linux Foundation and the Blockchain Training Alliance. Learning is very important to keep up with both old and new technologies, my newest certification is the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and more certifications will be earned over time.
In my last work experience I refactored, architected and developed many key parts of a Parachain always aiming for security, readability, robustness and maintainability, which contributed to two successful marketing campaigns. In addition to all this and to finish, I also created and deployed a brand new Relay Chain like Kusama or Polkadot for custom usage and testing.
A little about myself… Hello! I am a software engineer with a passion for coding and would love to play a role in making a difference and being part of a enthusiastic work culture. I have a background in service & real estate sales but my key asset is my ability to be adept at mastering new tools/technologies and always a team player.

I have had the good fortune to spend the last couple of years working at the ground level of an EdTech startup. I joined at an entry level position and was able to work my way to a Director in only three years. During my time at the company, I have worked in tandem with C-Level Executives, directly with major clients, and oversaw the entirety of our main revenue driving product as its sole owner. I have also personally handled the Support side for all customers, clients, and co-workers. The unique experience of handling Support, while at times draining, gave me a direct view into how customers think about and use a product. The combinations of all these experiences has given me an inside view on the inner workings and machinations of a scrappy startup fighting to survive as well as the bureaucratic bloat that can be endemic to large corporations. Moving quickly and breaking things can sully your customer's trust in you; Moving too slowly with too much red tape can fail a project for no other reason than idleness.
I am open to working in a management position or getting back to my roots and working in an engineering role. Even better, I would like to get into another hybrid role of higher level management and low-level engineering. I think those of us already working in tech forget how much of a superpower programming can be in all facets of business.
If you think you have a fit for me in your company or if you just want to reach out and discuss something, my email is sam@woodward.fyi and I am always glad to talk tech.
The current desired areas of interest for my next company are * National security * Security (General) * Climate Change * Agriculture * Automotive * Robotics * Fintech
I have no interest in anything `crypto' or `web3` related.

Desired position: Senior Developer/Engineering Manager/Software Architect
I have been employed in software development for almost 10 years and have written code for significantly longer. I am a deep specialist in databases and a good generalist in most other areas. I built myself as a T-shaped developer. I have worked databases, back-end, front-end (web and native, mobile and desktop) and testing throughout my time. With databases, I have experience with everything from relational algebra theory (I studied C.J. Date) to database design and normalization to query, procedure and index optimization. Throughout my career, I have developed a systemic viewpoint and an ability to understand how different components of a project and different teams interact together, all in order to walk the path of technical leadership. As a true engineer, I understand the importance of measuring before changing. Also, I am a sociable person and I have a teaching degree and have taught on numerous occasions with excellent results. Currently I am learning Solidity.Due to my experience, I am currently aiming for a software architect/engineering manager/team lead role, or a role with growth opportunities toward a similar tech leadership position, a position in which I can grow and polish the skills of colleagues. From a tech stack POV, I am most excited by opportunities to work in Rust and opportunities to work on free open-source software. If you are looking to make the world a better place and need an engineer contact me.

Hi, I'm Ethan! I am a new college grad with a pretty wide range of experience from app dev to space satellites.
While in high school, I worked on the "TBH" app which was a viral social media app (9 million users) that later got acquired by Facebook for 100 million dollars. I primarily worked on helping the team design the UI and growth strategies.
After that, I went to NYU where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in CS with a math minor. While in college, I worked a full time contracting job for a fintech startup called Uttara. I primary worked on scaling machine learning models with Kubernetes and designing systems to pull real-time trade data. I also worked as a team lead for NYU Robomasters where I built machine learning based computer vision systems to detect and shoot at other robots. Additionally, I worked for the Robomasters North America organization to run and maintain the technical forums using AWS.
Currently, I work at Isomer Space where I lead a team of 63 people to develop a cubesat space satellite with an ion thruster. I primarily work on developing firmware + system control + sensor code for the satellites. However, I do sometimes help with the electronics of the satellite. Another fun fact is I set up and built the only satellite ground station in the NYC area for SatNOGs (although I am no longer in the area so the station isn't being run anymore).
Anyhow, as you can tell I have a pretty wide range of interests. I am willing to work on anything that seems interesting, fun, or impactful in some way. If your company has any opportunities like that, feel free to shoot me an email!

I've worked for the last 12 years as a full stack web developer. That includes building backends, frontends, APIs, data ingestion tools, infrastructure in AWS.
I've worked in various domains, such as education and biotech. I'd like to contribute to something that improves the world in some way. That might be the obvious stuff like helping students learn or finding treatments for cancer, or it might be something less glamorous like working on database technologies. It probably isn't working on blockchain or in fintech.
I enjoy working in cross functional teams: that is, I like teams that have all the skills needed to consistently deliver business value, whether that's typical software roles like developers and designers, or something more domain-specific such as pharmacologists.
If you're just looking for someone to pick up tickets and churn out code, I'm probably not a good fit. I'm interested in the wider team and company goals and strategy, and would like to work in a team where everyone can contribute to product thinking, rather than (for instance) having a product manager that writes all of the tickets. In the past, I've built internal tools and worked with the domain experts that use the tools to work out what problem to solve next, and what the next most valuable increment to build would be.
I'm also interested in how people and teams collaborate. For instance, in my experience, meetings are often unstructured chatting, or have one or a small number do the vast majority of the talking. This means that many people don't meaningfully contribute -- frustrating for them, and a loss to the group as a whole -- and decisions aren't made, aren't clear, aren't understood, or aren't widely supported. I've successfully used techniques such as those in the Gamestorming book and Liberating Structures to add structure that allows everyone to contribute, for a range of options to be discussed and considered, while reaching a clear decision at the end.
I've tended to work in smaller organisations since much of the above tends to happen naturally in those circumstances, but I'd be open to working anywhere that's a good fit and treats its people as more than fungible units of resource production.
These are my recent highlights:
- I'm currently working on my bootstrapped solo SAAS app that is used by ~375 businesses every month. Built with ROR and lots of Hotwire. Launched this in Jan.
- Before that, I was a senior developer at FORSBERG+two, a bootstrapped and profitable app development studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark, serving over 75,000+ businesses. My work mainly involved: 1) Building out a Rails engine that holds all the common features - setup, onboarding flow, subscriptions, views (Polaris), authentication etc - so that its easier to build new Shopify apps. 2) Adding tests (system, integration and unit tests) for the existing 4 Shopify apps.
- Before that I was a senior developer at Lummo, a Sequoia backed fintech app used by over 1 million small merchants and retailers. Was with them from the early start to around the 1 million users mark. There were two of us doing Rails over here, and I was the first hire.
If you'd like to work with me, please send me an email to arjun.rajkumar@hey.com. Became a first time dad in May of this year, and hence took time off since May. But am ready to get back to work mode now.
Thanks
Arjun

Finding the right people to shape your idea can be daunting. Hiring tech talent is one of the biggest challenges companies, and entrepreneurs face today. And it’s no wonder. The market is full of happy-go-lucky development shops that instil confidence and promise you the moon. Before signing the contract, everything seems great…and then it begins.
They assign you to their junior team. Communication is subpar. Sometimes they go off the grid for days and leave you all alone, stumbling in the dark. They move the goalposts and refuse to own up to their mistakes. When you realize that nothing is what it seems, you’ve already wasted months and blown most of your budget.
The truth is that most software development projects fail. Over the past few years, my focus on helping startups has pushed me to continuously uplevel my expertise and put that knowledge into practice.
I wanted to take it up a notch.
Super excited to announce that I have partnered with Augmeta to unlock my playbook-led engagement, essentially opening up my calendar to advise and consult individuals or teams.
Here’s my playbook.

This is the first time I took a stab at consolidating all my learnings, tools, recommendations, code/templates, and tactics in a singular and actionable artifact. It’s complete, all-inclusive, and gets the job done.
Moving forward, I will be able to assist companies, teams, and individuals, and I will appreciate the support to get the word out to all who could benefit from this. Really excited about the potential to pay it forward and scale my impact via these engagements!

Hello, my name is Jesse. I'm looking to solve hard problems which could have a net positive impact on the world. Examples of fields that interest me are genetics, developer tooling (compilers, static analyzers, ???), 3D graphics, data streaming.
I'm a competent C and C++ programmer. The C++ spec weighs a lot, so I'm hesitant to call myself an expert, but I have a good working knowledge of both languages. For previous employers I've worked on everything from Win32 applications to reverse-engineering Valves Source2 engine.
I've been working on the foundations of a 3D game engine for ~6 years, which has taught me a great deal about C, systems, and graphics programming on both Win32 and Linux. I chose to build it without libraries (Handmade Hero style) which began as a learning exercise, but ended up teaching me the value of simplicity.
In more recent history I've been working on a metaprogramming C compiler. Think C++ templates, but fast to compile, and generally less awful. It turns out I have a secret passion for compilers. I'm also actively contributing to Oil, a new bash and POSIX compliant shell.
I have a good understanding of the Linux network stack and APIs - I've worked on several custom TCP + UDP protocols in the past.
I love building tools. I've worked on game engines, compilers, performance profilers, a debugger and reverse-engineering tooling. These types of projects get me fired up.
Lastly, I'm a systems programmer at heart. I love having direct access to the CPU and needing to understand the hardware architecture, as opposed to the internals of an interpreter, to write well-working and well-performing code. I strive to understand the core of what I'm working on.
That's the cliff-notes on my technical background. As a person I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I like the phrase "Have strong opinions, weakly held".
Outside of work I enjoy surfing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, rock-climbing and beer! I bounce between Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada and Central America. I've been working remotely for ten years; going back to the office would be a real hard sell.
