A twisty puzzle that is not too hard and not too easy to figure out?

The classic Rubik's cube is way too difficult for most people to figure out on their own. And other puzzles like the Pyraminx are too easy in that regard.So is there a twisty puzzle of moderate difficulty that people can figure out on their own without prior experience in twisty puzzles?
