What are you reading for leisure?
Phrased differently, what are you reading that's not required _of_ you _by_ somebody else? (Mainly school and work)
I've been enjoying the Culture series by Ian M. Banks a lot and I'm currently reading the second novel. It's about a future where a part of the Universe lives in the Culture, a society governed by superintelligent AIs. It's objectively cool, but also deals with deep questions like "What do you do as a human, if you don't have have to do anything?".
Just finished "The Doors of Eden" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, of "Children of Time" fame.
Good read, similar themes but presented under an entirely different scenario.
The way of the kings by Sanderson, excellent fantasy series
Currently I am finishing off Eoin Dempsey's new historical fiction series "The Lion's Den", which follows a family living in pre-war Nazi Germany.
